Dr. Thurman first moved to Arizona in 1978. After attending Greenway High School (Class of 1988) and Northern Arizona University (B.S. 1992), Dr. Thurman moved to Manhattan, Kansas to attend Kansas State University. She graduated in 1997 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and moved back to Phoenix. She worked at Moon Valley Animal Hospital and the Emergency Animal Clinic, prior to purchasing Desert Sage Veterinary Clinic in November of 2004. Dr. Thurman is married and has two human, one canine and two feline children! In her free time, she enjoys cheering on our Arizona Coyotes - HOWL!!

Mary joined our team in June of 2016. She has over 20 years experience as a veterinary receptionist here in the valley.
Dr. Thurman and Erick have known each other since 2004, when they both worked at the Emergency Animal Clinic. Erick joined the Desert Sage team in March 2015.
Rena has over 6 years of veterinary experience and joined our team in August of 2016.
Cam is still out of the office after being the victim of a horrific hit and run accident on April 5th, 2014. Please feel free to "like" our Facebook page so you can get updates on her condition as we receive them. We appreciate all your positive thoughts and well wishes.
This is our amazing 3 legged clinic cat. He puts up with all our antics and LOVES attention.
